Head Coach
Matthew Wilson
The Western Conference coaches voted to name Alonso's Head Coach, Matt Wilson, the Coach of the Year for the American Division. This is truly a reflection of a great group of players and two great assistant coaches in Kaleb Crump (year 3) and Austin Walters (year 1). This year, the plan that Coaches Wilson and Crump set in motion back during the '22-'23 season really started to sink in. Returning players were familiar with the system when they stepped on the field for that first training session and bought in more than ever before to the idea that Alonso could do great things. The result: winners of the Chamberlain Preseason Tournament, an 8-5-2 regular season record and a birth in the regional quarterfinals of the State Championships for the first time since 2008. The work is not done, yet. Alonso still has big aspirations going forward. Still, this honor is greatly appreciated as it reflects the hard work of the players and the assistant coaches more than anything else. Go Ravens!!!
